Bell times
School Hours and Day
Children should not arrive at school before 8.am. Children should be at school by at least 8.40am. This allows them to hang up their bags and be in time to begin the school day.
The School Day
8.45am First Bell – Prayer Assembly
10.30am Morning Tea
11.00 am Class commences
12.45pm Lunch
1.30 pm Afternoon class begins
2.45pm School dismissal
It is requested that children are punctual. Lateness disrupts class routines and children miss out on important learning time.
Wet Day Arrangements
Unless otherwise notified, bell times will remain the same in the winter as in the summer.
After School Care
The school does not have an after school care programme, however we have made arrangements with the YMCA regarding their after school programme. This is held at Melville Primary school we currently have 3 children attending and we ensure they get to this programme safely.
