Term 2
We are looking at the competencies this term Weeks 1 & 2 Managing Self. Weeks 3 & 4 Thinking. Weeks 5 & 6 Using language, texts and symbols. Weeks 7 & 8 Relating to others and Weeks9 & 10 Participating and Contributing.
All classes are studying fairytales and traditional stories this term
Winter sports have begun children will be taking part in the Te Aroha Winter Sports and cross country see the newsletters for results
We farewelled Mrs Tracey Vanxay who has gone on Maternity leave we wish her every blessing as she awaits the arrival of her baby.
Ms Joy Quinlan will be teaching the Year 2 class. Joy is no stranger to our school she attended as a pupil. I'm sure her time back at St Pius will be enriching for her and her class.
Term 3
Our main emphasis this term is on the Performing Arts. The students are being visited by various performers, singer songwriters, puppet group, and circus. We are also having a school production 'Cinderella Rockerfella' in the second week of September. It promised to be an exciting and interesting term.
